About World's Longest Putt

The World’s Longest Putt (WLP) is the ultimate putting competition — part challenge, part community, and all about the short game.

What began in 2023 as a friendly bet among friends has grown into the fastest-rising competition in golf, with more than 100,000 golfers expected to compete nationwide this year. Founded by Commissioner Jay Stocki — who sank a Guinness World Record putt of 401 feet — WLP now spans coast to coast with 24 Regional Events leading up to the National Finals.

The WLP Finals are hosted at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, WI, the same iconic course where the world record was first broken. Regional champions earn the chance to claim the national title and line up for history — a world record putt worth $1 million.

But WLP is more than competition. It’s about community, creativity, and giving back. Our events have helped nonprofits raise hundreds of thousands of dollars while creating unforgettable moments for players and spectators alike.

We bring the short game to life through three connected lanes:

  • Golfers — Local qualifiers, regional tournaments, and exclusive content through our podcast, newsletter, and media platforms.
  • Nonprofits — Turn any fundraiser into a putting contest. It’s fun, easy to run, and organizations keep 100% of entry fees.
  • Experiential Events — From dealership activations to monthly putting competitions, our network of Tournament Directors keeps WLP alive in communities year-round.

At its core, WLP is about re-imagining what golf can be: accessible, competitive, and unforgettable. Whether you’re chasing a record, hosting a fundraiser, or looking for a fresh way to activate your brand, the World’s Longest Putt is where the short game makes a big impact.
